The Health Ministry at Beautiful Savior supports the belief that the physical, spiritual, and mental person is inter-related.  Its focus is on wellness and prevention achieved through health services, educational workshops and outreach projects.

Some of our current projects are:

• Quarterly blood drives
• Flu shots
• Screenings for skin cancer 
• First Aid kits maintained
• Defibrillator training and maintenance
• Educational programs
• CPR classes conducted by LaVista Fire Department 
• “Trunk or Treats” with the emphasis on healthy treats
• Fun exercises for seniors
• Bike Safety Rodeo for young children
• Disaster training program
• Mission trips
• Hand sanitizers provided throughout our facility
• A medical person present at all events such as the youth versus the staff football game

Many of our members have a background in health care; nursing, physicians, physical therapists, social work, and nutritionist, although the only requirement to be a part of the health ministry is being interested in helping others.
